Commodities Distribution

What are commodities?

Commodities are a variety of food products that are       distributed to those in need. Sources include USDA,       Nevada Division Of Aging and Three Square.

More than 25% of valley residents are served each month with an average of 100 families. It ranges from 70 to 130 families. Family sizes range from 1 to 10.

Volunteers:

There are an average of 20 volunteers per month and their     ages range from 17 to 85. They work an average of 5 hours     each packaging fruits and vegetables as needed and               arranging pallets and distributing the commodities. Many         commodities recipients help with the distribution.

With more than 4 years of service we have developed      an efficient operation and are able to finish the                distribution by 11:30 am.

The corona virus is now under control so on July 12th we will be going back to the previous distribution of commodities. Customers are to get a number and sign in at the thrift store. Proceed to the commodities building, get a shopping cart and push your cart thru the building to receive your commodities.

Commodities will be distributed on Monday, December 13th 2021 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am.
