


Commodities Distribution
What are commodities?
Commodities are a variety of food products that are distributed to those in need. Sources include USDA, Nevada Division Of Aging and Three Square.
More than 25% of valley residents are served each month with an average of 120 families. It ranges from 100 to 130 families. Family sizes range from 1 to 10.
Volunteers:
There are an average of 20 volunteers per month and their ages range from 17 to 86. They work an average of 5 hours each packaging fruits and vegetables as needed and arranging pallets and distributing the commodities. Many commodities recipients help with the distribution.
With more than 4 years of service we have developed an efficient operation and are able to finish the distribution by 11:30 am.
The corona virus is now under control so on July 12th we will be going back to the previous distribution of commodities. Customers are to get a number and sign in at the thrift store. Proceed to the commodities building, get a shopping cart and push your cart thru the building to receive your commodities.
Commodities will be ditibuted on Monday, June 12th
2023 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am.
